Feeling Overwhelmed in The Office
There I was, speaking with my general care doctor trying to figure out why even though I had achieved everything I wanted (successful career, marriage, and a gorgeous little baby) I was feeling more stressed and anxious than ever.
It started with me sitting at my work desk when I noticed my jaws hurting from clenching my teeth. I had been getting frequent tension headaches and I noticed I was running through Excedrine faster than ever before.
My doctor recommended I be more intentional about recording the situations that caused negative physical reactions throughout the day. Soon after I would discover that the episodes of stress and anxiety were almost entirely work-related.

That's where the idea of Maven Bliss was born. It's my reminder to pamper myself and remove anxiety in and outside of the office. It's my quest to appreciate the things that bring me happiness. It's my reminder that it's ok to break out the candles and take a long bath while the baby is napping instead of responding to emails on a Saturday afternoon.
It's my commitment to being more organized so I can carve out more time for the things I love doing. It's also my commitment to share the things I love with like-minded women.
My hope is that when women treat themselves to the Maven Bliss Box they use the goodies to become more organized and pampered in and outside of the office. I hope they find the tools in the member portal helpful for reducing stress and anxiety. I hope the goodies help them to become more focused on creating time to recharge so they can present their best selves to the world everyday.
